About me

MONDGöTTIN Design Manufactory

Welcome to Mondgöttin, the handmade shop for eBooks, exclusive bags and accessories.

All products offered in the shop were created in my creative sewing workshop.
The digital patterns were designed and developed by me according to my ideas and visions
and 'put on paper'.

The bags and accessories offered here are unique, which are unmistakable thanks to the loving
composition of materials.

Hello,
I am Ina, founder of MONDGöTTIN, born in 1969, married and have two adult children.
I started sewing in 2010 and have never stopped since :)

My colleague and girlfriend at the time infected me with the sewing virus.
At that time I sewed my first clothes with her. She already had her own label to sew in
their finished stuff. I liked it very much and I wanted to have one of my own.
Just what should it say?
With my daughter I thought about which name would suit me. At some point I thought about my second
first name Selene, Greek moon goddess, and this is how I had the labels embroidered:
MONDGöTTIN
And why my name is Selene, I might reveal another time ;)

The first time I filled my closet with self-sewn things with enthusiasm.
Soon after that I started sewing and successfully selling bags and accessories.
In April 2013 I started writing posts about clothes, bags and DIY on my blog.
I had more and more ideas when sewing bags, so that I soon published my first own pattern.

Today there are more than 20 sewing patterns, some of which are free.
For example the popular Bilbao cap, the pouf and the brand new EMI jewelry bag

I like to try new things and so in early 2019 I started my YouTube channel, which is all about sewing,
DIY and upcycling works.
Upcycling - this is a topic that is important to me because it is sustainable and conserves resources.

Because I've been going to flea markets for so many years, I have them there too
notice changes. The stalls where mountains of clothes are piling up are increasing in number.
I usually ignore these and prefer to look for fabrics, pillowcases and other things.

You can find some videos about upcycling on my channel. For example, how you can turn 2 pillowcases
into one in no time sew a great reversible bag or simply sew a blouson out of a shirt.

Here you can watch my upcycling playlist.
